This refresher course provides workers with 3-year recertification in Working at Heights, approved by the Chief Prevention Officer of the Ministry of Labour. IRESCUE TRAINING delivers this course in-house or onsite at your location!

Meets the requirements of Regulation 297/13 and the Working at Heights Training Standard.

Participation Requirements:

Participants must bring a CPO-issued proof of completion card or certification card from a MOL-approved Working at Heights training provider, a piece of government-issued photo ID and wear appropriate clothing, including CSA-approved head, foot, and eye protection. PLEASE NOTE: If you do not have the required personal protective equipment you will not be able to complete the program.

Completion Requirements:

100% attendance, 100% score on practical skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written knowledge evaluation.

For participants with language, literacy, or accommodation needs, alternative evaluation methods to the written test may be used to verify that core concepts have been grasped. Please inform us of any special needs when registering.

  • Barriers and other fixed equipment
  • Personal Fall Protection Equipment
  • Anchor points
  • Work positioning systems, work access and platforms
  • Rescue planning
  • Hands-on demonstration of specific critical tasks (100% score required)

Site-Specific Considerations:

While Working at Heights is required training on construction sites, site-specific training is also required. The employer is responsible for site-specific training related to specific hazards and types of equipment used on the job.
